Our last full day was spent mostly in York. We left the hotel shortly before 9am. We reached the city mid-morning and were joined, on the coach, by a guide (Elaine) who gave us a tour of the city, providing some interesting facts about the city and the commerical & philanthropic exploits of Joseph Rowntree. We then had some time to ourselves, allowing us to wander through the city, have lunch etc., before meeting up for a short river cruise. After that we had some more time for ourselves (for tea, etc.) before meeting back at the coach for our return to Harrogate.
